Privacy Policy
Car Dodger is developed by Alex Terentyev ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the game collects, why, and who it is shared with.
What we collect
Car Dodger collects the minimum needed to run an online leaderboard:
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Display name you type | Only when you choose to submit a score | Shown next to your score on the public leaderboard |
| Your score | When you submit to the leaderboard | To rank entries |
| An anonymous player ID | When the game starts | Identifies your entry so your own score can be updated |
The anonymous player ID is generated by Unity Gaming Services. It is not linked to your Google account, your email address, your phone number, or any advertising identifier.
You choose the display name. It does not have to be your real name, and we recommend it is not. Whatever you enter is publicly visible to other players on the leaderboard.
What we do NOT collect
- No real names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account details
- No location data
- No contacts, photos, files, or messages
- No advertising identifiers, and no advertising of any kind
- No analytics or behavioural tracking by us. Unity Gaming Services records basic service telemetry (your anonymous player ID and the requests the game makes) to operate and monitor the service
- No in-app purchases or payment information
Your display name and scores only leave your device if you submit a score. The anonymous player ID is created when the game starts so the leaderboard is ready when you need it.
Stored on your device only
Your local high score and your chosen display name are saved on your device using Unity's standard local storage. This never leaves the device and is deleted when you uninstall the game.
Who processes the data
Leaderboard data is processed by Unity Gaming Services, operated by Unity Technologies, acting as our service provider. Their privacy policy is at https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy.
The anonymous player ID is transferred to Unity to provide the service. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone else.
Data retention and deletion
Leaderboard entries are kept for as long as the leaderboard exists. To have your entry and associated anonymous ID deleted, email alex.terentyev.dev@gmail.com from any address and describe the display name you used. We will remove it within 30 days.
Uninstalling the game removes all locally stored data immediately.
Children
Car Dodger is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. The only data a player can provide is a display name they type themselves.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date above will change and the updated version will be published at the same URL.
